Thought for today.
Norman Mattoon Thomas (Nov. 20, 1884-Dec. 19, 1968), and some of us are old enough to remember him running for President, was a leading American socialist, pacifist and six time presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America.
Norman Thomas said this in a 1944 speech: "The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "Liberalism", they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." He went on to say: "I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democratic Party has adopted our platform."
The Democrats now claim the name Progressive rather than Liberalism, but it's the same old program just dressed differently.

After viewing this I think you'll agree that we can no longer remain quite. Click Here to see the latest Thomas Payne Video of "We The People's Stimulus Package"
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on Thursday defended White House attempts to influence Democratic candidates to drop their campaigns -- even using the prospect of an administration job -- as something "the president does."
"The president, as the leader of the party, has an interest in ensuring supporters don't run against each other in contested primaries," Gibbs said.
The White House is under fire after acknowledging that Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina contacted former Colorado House Speaker Andrew Romanoff last fall to see if he'd be interested in an administration job -- instead of running against Sen. Michael Bennet. Read more
Gibbs Defends White House Bid to Lure Romanoff Out of Senate Race
More Backroom Dealmaking at the White House! How many more that we don't yet know about? Why should the Democrats be trusted to investigate themselves?
Just remember that any position that would have been offered to Romanoff would have been paid by you, the taxpayer!
